The HSU Educational Foundation Game Changers event with Dynamic Software Solutions (DS2), scheduled for Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 1 – 3 p.m., introduces the Game Changers youth and their families to DS2’s agile software engineering. DS2 provides an array of STEM services to DoD, federal, and commercial clients that include full-life-cycle software engineering, sensor integration, and data visualization. The DS2 team represents a variety of career fields, such as Software Engineers; Mobile, Game, Desktop, Web, Server, and GIS Developers; Graphic and 3D Model Design; and Project Management. May Game Changers event participants will experience hands-on activities learning about robotics, the Unity game engine and VR, and Android development.

The Game Changers program provides interactive, shared science and technology events for families, inspiring excitement while encouraging critical thinking and problem solving. The Game Changers program is sponsored in part by Gulf Power and usually meets the first Saturday of each month during the school year. Exploring business expertise and STEM technologies together sparks conversations among family members and can help participants apply educational principles to the real world.

Registration: This hands-on STEM event is suitable for student’s 4th grade and up with an interest in basic computer skills along with programming and app development.
