The “Small Engine Basics Repair” course will be 4 weeks long, for a total of 16 hours and led by a Step One Automotive Senior Master Mechanic. Students of middle and high school level will be taking apart a small engine, putting it back together and starting the engines. For the final class on October 11, 2025, family members are invited to stay for the length of the class to watch their participant put the final touches on the engine and start it. The HSU Educational Foundation workforce development partner for this course is Step One Automotive Group.
