Dr. Paul Hsu, Founder and Chairman of HSU Educational Foundation, delivered his America250 FieldWerx Summit presentation on the ‘Land of Opportunity and America’s Future of Innovation’ by setting the stage for a day of inspirational speakers and groundbreaking ideas, sharing that he himself is “a grateful first-generation immigrant who tasted the promise of this great country.”
Tying into the theme of the celebration, Dr. Hsu declared, “If we were able to lead the world in technology over the last 250 years, we can lead the world again in the next 250 years—but only if we make the right choices and hold fast to the values that brought us here today.”
He outlined three commitments our nation must embrace to ensure that future generations inherit a country that is safe, smart, and strong:
- Maintain America as the world’s innovation workshop by fostering a thriving ecosystem of ideas.
- Keep our military second to none to preserve peace.
- Educate the next generation in innovation and technology—underscoring the vital role of supporting our teachers.
Drawing on his personal journey, Dr. Hsu reflected that “America’s openness to reach out with kindness is truly an asset. People from around the world come here with their energy, skills, and dreams—renewing our economy and enriching our culture.”
He concluded with a powerful reminder: “In America, we are not defined by our beginnings, but by our willingness to begin again. If we work together—to learn, to try, and to keep America at the forefront for another 250 years—we can achieve it.”
