From Magnetism to Software Engineering – Game Changers are on the move

The Game Changers Squad of excited students has been chasing down the fun in STEM.   November featured a trip to the Eglin Digital Library for an afternoon of exploring all aspects of magnetism and how it affects so many parts of our daily lives as well as possibilities for the application of magnetic science in future technologies.  Thanks to our friends at Leonardo DRS for lending us an engineer as a subject matter expert.

As we move toward December, we are excited to visit Beast Code at their corporate offices for a day of true business to student outreach.   On December 1st, the Game Changers Squad upperclassmen will have a chance to tour the corporate offices, explore different career paths in the fast growing software engineering industry, and even do a little software programming of their own.  Beast Code is a team of engineers dedicated to developing the next generation of cutting edge software applications. Beast Code specializes in high-fidelity, high-performance modeling and simulation solutions that can be tailored to suit a variety of domains and uses.

Our December Game Changers event will close out a year of business to student outreaches encompassing a wide range of STEM related industries looking to encourage and inspire the next generation of students and possible future employees.  Looking forward to future business to student interactions in the new year featuring more local industry leaders such as Fort Walton Machining.  Is your company ready to make an impact on a potential future employee?  Contact us to find out how.
