This week I shared Guardians of the Dream with a group of Civic Fellows and International Leadership Foundation scholarship recipients in Washington D.C. It has been my distinct honor to be involved in the effort to help support and develop the growth of this particular organization. I believe in its mission to develop young Asian and Pacific-rim leaders because I know they will make great contributions for this nation’s future. Talking with these young people, I was struck by how well they represent the bright future of our great nation.

Despite cynical reports that only 40% of parents expect their children will have the same standard of living as they have, we actually see young people accomplishing more advancements for their generation at even younger ages. We have so many promising and motivated young people ready to launch exciting careers and with the right encouragement and direction, I believe they will demonstrate how attainable success can be for those willing to work hard to achieve their dreams.
