The HSU Educational Foundation is excited to announce its newest course, Computing Essentials. This course is focused on 5th through 8th grade participants looking to learn more about computers and networks with opportunity to earn a certification off the Florida Career and Professional Education(CAPE) list.

Objectives

Learn about various types of computers and their functions
Study the basic computer system components and their roles
Learn about computer hardware, and input and output devices including operating systems,
Learn techniques for efficient file management, including the use of file name extensions
Study the basics of computer networking, including network topologies and models
Course schedule: June 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th 3pm-5pm
